ANDREA SCOTT

ARCHITECT AIBC, AAA, MAA, SAA, LEED AP

Principal

Andrea joined the firm, then PJ Lovick Architect, in 2004 working as a student designer whilst completing her Bachelor of Architectural Science at Ryerson, and Bachelor of Environmental Design and Master of Architecture at Dalhousie.  Over time, Andrea’s dedication to client engagement, managing a team, and her continual passion for innovation led her to become Managing Partner in 2015, before taking over as firm Principal in 2019.

Andrea also had the opportunity to complete an internship in Melbourne, Australia, and work under the mentorship of internationally recognised architect Gregory Burgess.

Andrea’s guiding principal is that no project needs to choose between being innovative and cost-efficient.  A successful project requires us to expand what can be accomplished in terms of form, sustainability, and community contribution; while keeping the business objectives of the client at the forefront.

During her career, Andrea has led projects in multi-family, commercial, education, hotels, wineries, including master-planned multi-phase projects.  Examples of her work include Hastings Park Child Care Centre, The Professional Centre at South Point, Douglas College Surrey Training Centre, and Surrey Design Award finalist Cloverdale Gateway.

Andrea is currently serving on the City of Maple Ridge Design Panel and served on the Surrey ADP from 2015 to 2018
